Aspir-Guard helps prevent accidental aspiration of fluids and dental debris during routine veterinary dental procedures. This dehydrated PVA, donut-shaped guard rehydrates into a soft, gentle sponge and is placed over the distal end of the endotracheal (ET) tube just outside the epiglottis. Attached strings make it easy to tie to roll gauze or IV tubing securing the ET tube, then advance to block the oropharynx. Available in Small, Medium, and Large to fit 3.5–10.0 mm ID ET tubes, it supports safer dog dental care and cat dental care in a clinical setting.
